What is the CGS Center for Training?
  • The CGS Center for Training is a community of approved CGS formation leaders in the Washington-Baltimore-Annapolis metro area that offer training in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.
  • Formation leaders include Kate Collins of Annapolis, MD and Amanda Messinger of McLean, VA.
  • Training is conducted with guidance and approval from The Association of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd in Oak Park, IL
  • Although this website reflects the Roman Catholic backgrounds of Kate and Amanda, the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is inherently ecumenical and many different denominations have adopted CGS as their preferred method of religious formation.
  • For the official website of The Association of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, please visit www.cgsusa.org.
